It’s been almost a year since English music producer Duke Dumont released his hit single “Ocean Drive,” which has become one of his most successful singles to date. As a modern dance music hitmaker, Dumont’s flair for dance has helped to develop his unique sound where easy listening meets a turbo boost of melodic dance beats and synths, and “Ocean Drive” is the perfect example of that.

With over 100 million views on YouTube, the popularity of the song was in high gear this past year with “Ocean Drive” playing frequently on SiriusXM, at nightclubs and blaring from pedestrian-filled roadways, including Collins Avenue and the real Ocean Drive in Miami.

As with any artist, you want to build on your success, and that’s what Dumont continues to do.  He recently released For Club Play Only 4, a two-track, deep house gift. Released on Defected Records, the set includes “Be Here,” a vocal heavy, soulful tune that’s amplified with brass instruments. Then there’s “Worship,” a house-driven track that flirts frequently with its sister genre, trance.

Luckily, Duke Dumont fans are in for a treat and get to experience the producer in person. Dumont will return to Houston this Sunday, Aug. 7, for Summer Sessions at Clé. Summer Sessions is the club’s weekly Sunday pool party that’s been going strong all summer. Of course, Dumont is expected to be another great turnout and tickets are still on sale.
