With more than 20 years in the business, Eric Jao, aka Enferno, is a world-renowned turntablist who has captivated crowds from New York to Rome. He’s a musical pioneer who has elevated his position from a DJ to an artist by incorporating technology into his sets that has left his peers, the music industry and fans wanting more.

Enferno raised the bar in DJing years ago when he created sets that incorporated technology such as looping, sampling, and beat creation, along with his piano/keyboard skills, in which he’s classically trained. His live sets eventually birthed the “Live Remix Project,” which is a live musical performance where he uses turntables, instruments and technology to create music in a live setting.

As a previous DMC USA Champion, Enferno knows how to read a crowd and get fans on their feet. Many remember him as the tour opener for Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet Tour” in 2008, which led to many venues and high-profile events requesting his appearance.

Enferno is still going strong with tour dates scheduled at Tao in Las Vegas, The Palace Pool Club in the Philippines and Aura Dynamic Night right here in Houston. Enferno will be spinning live on Sunday, April 24, for Aura’s weekly Sunday Funday event along with Jamie Harvey and Taylor Tran. There’s no cover, but be sure to dress to impress and get there early.
