It’s official. It’s happening. Let the city rejoice because summer 2018 will end with an ultimate bang in Houston: OTR II Tour featuring The Carters live at NRG Stadium. Expect the weekend of Sept. 15-16 to go down in history, in a good way of course. The Bayou City’s very own Queen Beyoncé herself, alongside her entertainment mogul husband Sean Carter, have joined forces once again for part two of their On The Run Tour series. The admired couple will put the masses in their place, squashing all divorce rumors by performing their latest collaborative album, Everything is Love.

Jay Z and Beyoncé are the leading creative directors and executive producers for their show, so it would be criminal to expect this concert to go any less than perfect. Fans are all itching to see the King and Queen of pop culture perform hits like “Apeshit,” “Drunk in Love,” and “’03 Bonnie & Clyde,” which by the way are all included in the set list. But there’s also another crucial factor that goes into a successful tour – costume changes.

Not one show on OTR II Tour has been exactly the same, but Houstonians can draw some exciting conclusions from what has been seen so far this summer. A popular ensemble adorned frequently by the “Crazy in Love” singer is a trendy Gucci print zip-up hoodie with matching thigh high monogrammed Gucci boots. The diamond encrusted ski-mask that goes along with it is a stunner.

BeyonceA second popular look is the crystal studded bodysuit with a matching blazer worn by Mrs. Carter to take the stage with her hubby. Jay Z, on the other hand, has been keeping his costume looks on the classic, casual side, but trust there is nothing cheap about it. And if we’re honest, no matter what he wears it’ll be difficult to top the Gothic-inspired, sparkly, asymmetrical gown and thigh-high black leather boots Beyoncé has been donning this summer.

Now we all love The Carters, and sometimes in the heat of the moment you may want to go “Apeshit” when you see them on stage performing, but let’s remember to stay off of the actual stage. Rumor has it Beyoncé and Jay Z have got some pretty tough dancers, and you’d have to get through them first. The last guy wasn’t so successful.
