The Houston Museum of Natural Science will receive a new attraction this fall, Mummies of World: The Exhibition.

The largest of its kind, this exhibition showcases a collection of mummies from different time periods from across the world including Germany, Europe, South America, Hungary and Ancient Egypt. Mummies featured include the Vac family, Baron Von Holz, the Burns Collections, an Egyptian priest and animal mummies and much more.

With the help of science, museum guests are able to understand who these people were, where they came from and their history that dates back to 4,500 years. The story behind the mummies are available thanks to state-of-the-art multimedia presentations with interactive stations and 3-D animation. Their told based on ancient DNA analysis and computed tomography.

The exhibition comes from Exhibitions International, founded by John Norman. The organization is trusted with many valuable treasures from an array of backgrounds from sea artifacts to those in the mummy exhibit. Over one million people have visited this very exhibit worldwide making it one of the most admired.

Houstonians can visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science to catch the exhibit when it becomes available to the public on September 24. Advanced tickets are available at hmns.org.
