When Australian house music duo Madison Avenue released “Don’t Call Me Baby” in 1999, the band gave the world a hit that turned into a classic that dance music lovers are still grooving to today. And from singer-songwriter Madison Beer to the iconic Madison Avenue district in New York, the name Madison is usually tied to a long-lasting impression.

In the fall of 2019, Houston welcomed a Madison of its own with Madison Bar, a craft cocktail destination located at 2811 Washington Ave. The swanky bar creates a wide-range of specialty drinks from full-bodied martinis to Scottish delights.

Madison has events throughout the week, including Wine Wednesdays with live music. The venue is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., Fridays from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
