Krab Queenz Houston is Providing
Free Meals for Health Care Workers
Louisiana is known for its legendary creole entrees, seasonings, and spicy dishes. So, when you combine the flavors of Louisiana with the cooking prowess of Texas, you arrive at a venue with a Southern menu that’s worth a peek. Seafood lovers in Houston have been lining up for Krab Queenz Houston since the restaurant opened in 2018. And now the restaurant is giving back to the community because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Actor, comedian and Instagram sensation Kway “BlameItOnKway” Rogers, one partner of the Krab Queenz Seafood & Daiquiris brand, announced on Instagram that starting on April 11 the restaurant will provide free and discounted meals for health care workers and some relief for families that are affected by COVID-19.
Health care workers can receive a free shrimp plate from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, and half-off their meals on the weekends. Health care workers are allowed only one free meal per person a day, and they must show their current badge for the free or discounted menu items.
“It is very important for Krab Queenz to take care of the people at the frontline,” said Krab Queenz partners Tonique, Natasha and Kway.
For families facing hardships, Krab Queenz and its partners will choose two families to buy groceries for via social media. To take part, you can DM or tag yourself or someone that you know in need under @BlameItOnKway on Instagram. The chosen families will be contacted on Instagram with a direct message and announced on Kway’s IG stories unless they prefer to keep their win private. New families will be chosen every Sunday until the pandemic is over.
“I want to make sure I do my part to make sure I’m helping out as much as I can,” said Kway.
Krab Queenz offers a variety of seafood delicacies such as snow crabs, shrimp, and seasonal crawfish, and the restaurant is open for curbside and delivery service.
