Let the love swooning and crooning begin ladies and gentlemen because John Legend is returning to Houston with his Darkness and Light Tour on Tuesday, May 23.

Legend’s latest tour is in support of his fifth studio album of the same title that was released on December 2, 2016 to rave reviews. “Love Me Now” was the lead single from the Darkness and Light album, and it delivered Legend’s signature vocal prowess with lyrics meant for modern day lovers.

But Legend is no stranger to producing great music. Love In The Future was his fourth album that was released in 2013, and it was one of his highest debuts on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Fitting with his personal life, Legend is all about love and affection. The title and songs on Love In The Future aligned perfectly with his impending nuptials with then girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, that he professes influenced many of the endearing lyrics.

With Love In The Future, Legend’s outlook on love had a 360 degree turnaround from doubtful love songs to upbeat ballads. “All of Me” was the biggest single from the album and it went No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it one of Legend’s biggest hits. Love In The Future was co-produced by Legend, G.O.O.D. Music record label exec Kanye West, and Dave Tozer. “Who Do We Think We Are” featuring Rick Ross was the feel-good lead single that samples Jean Knight’s 1971 hit Mr. Big Stuff.  This song speaks of living it up and enjoying living in the moment.

Nothing says “I love you” like the second single, “The Beginning.” The lyrics sent fans into a blushing frenzy as Legend sings about never being alone and enjoying intimate moments.

This platinum-selling singer has got everything going for him and has no plans to slow down now. You can see Legend on the Darkness and Light Tour at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion with special guest Gallant. Tickets are still available and you can purchase yours here.
