August is a big month for the music industry with big album releases and the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 20 at Radio City Music Hall.

Whether it was the unexpected album release from The Carters giving us “APES**T” or Drake’s highly anticipated album “Scorpion,” it’s safe to say that the VMAs are taking advantage of 2018’s significant talent by placing it all in the Video of the Year category.

Other than The Carters and Drake duking it out, the Video of the Year category also includes: Childish Gambino and his thought-provoking anthem “This is America,” Bruno Mars feat. Cardi B’s nostalgic hit “Finesse,” Camilla Cabello’s Cuban-inspired “Havana,” and Ariana Grande with “No Tears Left to Cry.”

But one of the biggest moments of the night is expected to come from Jennifer Lopez. The dancing diva and global superstar will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Most artists that win this award perform a medley of their hits, so we’re pretty sure J Lo will hit the stage with a rendition of her biggest chart-toppers.

Although Cardi B leads with 10 nominations, it’s difficult to say who will end up on top. In the end, it’s decisions, decisions and your vote counts. You can vote for your favorite artist here. And soon we’ll get to see who will take home a “Moon Man” trophy on one of music’s biggest nights.
