Houston Bars, Breweries and
Clubs Can Reopen on Friday, May 22
After being closed for over two months, Houston bars, breweries, and wine tasting rooms can reopen this Friday, May 22. Governor Abbott announced on May 18 that bars can reopen at 25% occupancy as part of his phase two plan. Also on the same day, restaurants are allowed to expand their occupancy to 50%.
Memorial Day Weekend is on Monday, May 25, and so many local favorites are expected to reopen including Lincoln Bar, Clé, and the Montrose hotspot, Eagle. Safety measures and social distancing is still required, but Houston bars will get to open their businesses after watching their counterparts in the restaurant industry slowly get back on their feet.
