Frank’s Americana Revival is Gumbo Ready in River Oaks
Frank’s Americana Revival is known for their “culinary soul.” So it’s no surprise that the restaurant is participating in a national event that celebrates a beloved southern dish. National Gumbo Day is Thursday, Oct. 12, with chefs and restaurants across the country gearing up to serve their take on the Louisiana-born stew.
Frank’s Americana Revival is planning to serve their Creole Gumbo for Houstonians in search of a homemade Cajun fix. Frank’s Creole Gumbo is made with okra, long grain rice, large gulf shrimp, dark roux, holy trinity, oysters and Chef Colin’s secret ingredients.
The family-owned Frank’s will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 9: 00 p.m. on National Gumbo Day. So make plans to visit this River Oaks-area restaurant soon.
