As the saying goes, after love comes marriage, then a family, right? For this young successful couple, getting pregnant has presented an unsuspected challenge.  John and Laura Taylor, played by Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall, find themselves in a difficult time while struggling to figure out how they will conceive a healthy child.

Finding themselves at the end of all options, the couple considers finding a surrogate mother to carry their baby to term. After countless reviews the couple settles on who they think would be a great young woman to carry their baby. Anna, played by Jaz Sinclair, is moved into the home of the Taylors to be sure she has everything that she needs to maintain her health and carry the child. John and Laura soon find out that Anna is not who she was perceived to be at first. Anna proceeds to undermine the kindness of John and Laura after allowing her in their home. As Anna continues to spiral out of control, her past comes to the light. John and Laura then find themselves not only fighting for the life of their unborn child, but also fighting for their own lives while trying to keep their marriage intact.
