The chic nightlife of France has made its way into Houston’s Montrose scene by way of a bar called Victor. Huddled in a corner right off Oakley Street and Montrose Boulevard near the Menil Art Museum, Victor is named after famous French writer Victor Hugo, best known for his work Les Misérables.

Victor is a social haven that’s perfect for a getaway with friends, or a date with someone new, in a unique and colorful atmosphere. Known for its tapas and cocktails, the lounge offers an assortment of ham, cheese, or chorizo snack plates paired with French-inspired cocktails such as the Tequila Soleil. These palate pleasing menu items can be a great way to jumpstart your night.

You can also find a variety of drinks specials throughout the week. Beginning Tuesday, June 12, the venue will feature Rémy Martin Cointreau and Cognac cocktails for $7.  But if you’re feeling frisky, Porn Star is a new signature cocktail you may want to try. It’s made with vodka, Passoa, orange and lemon juice, and mango puree to create a unique French concoction.

And if you’re a lady looking for a place for you and your girls, Victor carves out Thursdays as Ladies Night from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. every week. So, get ready because your next outing may be a French-friendly night to remember.
