Eugene's Gulf Coast Cuisine is
Now Open with Cajun-Style Decadence
Seafood lovers in Houston received a pre-holiday gift this fall with Eugene’s Gulf Coast Cuisine. Eugene’s is formerly known as the Montrose staple, Danton’s Gulf Coast Seafood Kitchen. The new restaurant is at 1985 Welch Street, in the space that was previously occupied by Mockingbird Bistro.
The family-owned Eugene’s is still operating with Kyle Teas at the helm, and it continues with the spirit of Danton’s by offering Cajun-style Gulf coast cuisine, which includes oysters, steaks and jumbo Gulf shrimp.
Eugene’s is open Monday through Saturday for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The restaurant offers happy hour daily from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the main dining beginning at 5 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.
