Chicago is enjoying good weather and plenty of fanfare this week as the host city of the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) from Aug. 19-22. Delegates, party leaders, activists, and political commentators, including Kwame Jackson, are in the windy city to officially nominate Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate for this 2024 presidential election.

Jackson, and former Democratic presidential candidate Jason Palmer, are the co-founders of TOGETHER! It’s an organization that’s working to increase Gen Z and millennial voter participation, as well as supporting young congressional candidates.

In this interview, Jackson explains why the young vote is important, shares what he hopes to hear from Harris’ acceptance speech and explains the mission behind TOGETHER!
