Perry’s is known for its USDA-aged Prime beef, specialty pork chop and opulence. The restaurant just recently opened its seventh location in River Oaks, making it the first location inside the loop.
Upon your arrival, you can’t help but notice the illuminating Perry’s sign. It blends in well with its decadent neighborhood, while reminding onlookers that this is where you splurge with the best. Once inside, the 12,000-square-foot, two-story restaurant operates a multi-functional space. Downstairs is the main bar and dining area, while upstairs you’ll find the wine cellar, a second bar and dining room, as well as a private dining area.
Perry’s perfectly symmetrical interior features are a prelude to their expertly-crafted menu. As a fine dining restaurant, you’ll find an array of seasonal options, but the pork chop is still the headliner.
The restaurant offers a Pork Chop Friday Lunch every week. It’s a lunch-cut portion of the chop served with whipped potatoes and homemade applesauce. The pork chop is masterfully prepared by being roasted, then slow-smoked, caramelized and then finished in the oven. It’s a multi-step process that has made this chop a crowd-pleaser.
