Cinco de Mayo has come a long way from having a simple margarita toast over chips and salsa with some friends at the local Mexican restaurant. Now Cinco de Mayo is celebrated with multi-day festivals and events with specialty drinks, live performances and great food.

Cinco de Mile is an annual event that celebrates the annual holiday with a block party on Main Street near downtown Houston that includes bands, DJs, food trucks, vendors and prizes. What makes Cinco de Mile such a hit is not only the diverse crowds that come out to support the event, but the venues that participate in it.

Cle, Capitol Bar, Rose Gold and Spire are all a part of Cinco de Mile, so you can start at one venue and hop to another when it’s time for a change of scenery. Doors open at 2 p.m. at Capitol Bar and the party continues until 6 a.m. at Spire.

Tickets are on sale starting at $10. For more information, you can visit the Cinco de Mile Facebook page here.
