Cardi B is known for plenty of things like her catchy one-liners, spunky attitude, cute accent and of course her No. 1 record-breaking hit “Bodak Yellow.” She’s the ultimate example of “rags to riches” and an inspiration for plenty of young female artists aspiring to break into the industry. But is there more to this sassy artist than meets the eye?

If you follow Cardi B on Instagram, you get to see firsthand that she’s absolutely not a stranger to fashion and owning her personal style and brand. As a matter of fact, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to me if Cardi B obtained multiple endorsements with top-notch fashion brands within the next year. Of course becoming an A-list celebrity gets you easier access to such endorsements, but Cardi B has an eye for fashion and loves to express on social media where she gets all of her fabulous looks from. She’s more than just a reality star turned rap star. She’s an influencer. Often times, Cardi B will  pair a designer item with an affordable ensemble and spectators have no idea until she tags her looks on Instagram. That’s what building your personal style is all about.

Anyone with money can just throw on a designer outfit and call it fashion. But having an eye for personal style and setting trends is the key to becoming a fashion icon.
