Buyers in the Marketplace Have the Upper Hand

What is it that everyone is looking for when buying a new home? A deal! Buyers in the marketplace are ready to purchase but are only doing so when they feel that they have the upper hand in the transaction. We all have to remember that the buyer ultimately sets the sales price, not the seller. A home only sells for what a buyer is willing to pay for it. Some may say it’s stubborn but in my opinion, it’s healthy.

Houston has historically been a very solid market. Yes, we’ve had some slight ups and some slight downs, but it’s always very consistent right in the middle. Other markets in the country keep having these huge peaks and cavernous dips, but Houston remains steady and strong. What am I getting at? No matter what ‘you think’ the market is doing, it’s always a healthy time to buy. Property values are reinforcing themselves day after day, and new undiscovered pockets of town are gaining momentum to give those who already own huge margins of profit.

What’s the moral of the story? Get out there, find something you love, make an offer, and live your dream!
