The defining factors of how great a club used to be depended on the DJs that were booked, the crowd it attracted and the weekly events that made the venue worth visiting.

In the late 2000s, Vintage Lounge was a hotspot in Upper Kirby area that was home to the who’s who of Houston’s nightlife scene, young professionals and anyone in the area looking for a chill place with good music. I even celebrated my 28th birthday there, and yes, it was lit.

Monday nights at Vintage, also known as Vintage Mondays, was a well-respected industry night that had a great run for years and now Vintage’s owner, Amir Ansari,  and his team are bringing back a classic. On Monday, August 15, Ansari is hosting the “Vintage Mondays Reunion” at his new venue the Sterling House.

As with most reunions, you can expect to see some familiar faces, the old Vintage staff, and those who want to take a peek at the new Sterling House. And, of course, adding DJ Red and Mikey G to the mix doesn’t hurt either.
