With social media comes plenty of interesting and laugh-worthy trending topics. Fashion is no exception to this. For the past month and a half, we’ve recently seen a heated debate arise over a supposedly new trend for men this summer: the male romper. On one hand, many view this clothing item to be too feminine for men and simply see it as a complete joke and horrible for men’s fashion. On the other hand, some critics have argued that men should feel free to wear whatever they want without shame. So, what’s the verdict?

Romper Trend

I’d like to point out that the most important thing that we are forgetting here is that rompers are absolutely nothing new to the male wardrobe. As a matter of fashion, some of our most beloved male icons wore rompers such as Tupac, Will Smith and a slew of other celebrities in the 90s and early 2000s. Fashion is a beautiful creation that will always be recycled no matter what. It’s just too good to throw away. There is absolutely nothing feminine about wearing a romper in my opinion. It’s just a summer option that looks great on men who are daring and know how to correctly rock an outfit. Let’s stop the shaming and get back to styling!
