When I hear the name Simon, I generally think of retail space, lavish boutiques, and great shopping. Just last month Simon announced plans to add a luxury hotel and residential tower to The Galleria in Houston.  The hotel and residential tower will be located at the corner of Sage and W. Alabama, allowing easy access to shopping, dining, and work locations in the surrounding areas.

The W Residences of the Starwood brand offers a similar concept where homeowners get a place to call their own, but with all the hotel services and amenities. It’ll be interesting to see how the new hotel and residential tower develops and the perks that arise for its guests and new homeowners.

In addition to the construction of this tower, The Galleria will undergo major interior enhancements such as upgraded common area flooring, elevated lighting, soft seating, interior landscaping, as well as new escalators.  Several new retailers have already opened, including The Webster and Tod’s, with Celine, Christian Louboutin, and Yauatcha slated to open in the months to come.

The Galleria is home to more than 30 million visitors each year, myself included.  With more than 2.4 million square feet of space, The Galleria is Houston’s most popular retail and tourist destination, meeting every budget, style and taste. Feel free to reach out to me if you’re interested in checking out the new space.
