Lorde Set to Release ‘Melodrama’ on June 16 with Republic Records
With the pressure of sophomore album success looming, New Zealand songstress Lorde is set to give the people what they want. Four years since her first release, the “Royals” singer is releasing her second project written after an unfortunate breakup, but don’t expect any sappy break-up songs. The maturing artist explores being alone and relationships just as any 20-year-old may experience them.
Lorde’s soft new ballad “Liability” sets the tone for the well crafted project that follows lead single “Green Light.” Dropping on June 16, the album tells a story with all of the endearing and mystical features that is Lorde.
