Although you might not be familiar with the name Godfrey, chances are this comedian has probably tickled your funny bone a few times before. And when he comes to perform in Houston at the Houston Improv Comedy Club from June 9–12, he is sure to bring down the house with laughter.

Godfrey has appeared on Comedy Central, BET and VH1, as well as popular films such as Soul Plane and Zoolander. He’s notorious for his comedic Nigerian accent, inspired by his parents who immigrated to the United States before he was born in Nebraska.

An excellent impersonator, Godfrey started honing his special talents by impersonating his football coaches and teammates, which would lead to a newfound discovery of his comedic gift. Soon after, he started performing stand-up routines at comedy clubs in Chicago, which would then lead him to a successful career in television acting as well. If you’re searching for a talented comedian with an aggressively funny approach to humor, look no further than Godfrey.
