Hot on the radar again this month is none other than East Downtown! A new 24-story, 550-unit condominium project called The Ivy Lofts is slated to pop up at the corner of Nagle and Leeland. This “micro-unit” concept will feature floorplan options in the 300, 450, 600, and 700 square foot range. The eight penthouses will range from 820–942 square feet.

Sixty percent of the units, however, will be smaller than 500 square feet. These new condos are geared towards single working young professionals, which will attract many Millennials who want to live close to downtown with prices starting at about $120,000 for the smaller units and starting at $375,000 for the larger ones.

When building condos in Houston, luxury finishes are a must and almost a given. Features will include Murphy beds, transformable walls and furniture such as coffee tables that transform into desks and bookshelves that transforms into chairs. The marketing team has predicted they will sell out the 550 units within the first two months of opening the sales center in April.
