Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé Usher in the New Year on a ‘Perfect’ Note
Even though the holidays are behind us, the feel-good spirit has lingered into 2018 with a close attachment to Ed Sheeran. The English singer-songwriter and guitarist ushered in the New Year with “Perfect,” the No. 1 song in the country.
Sheeran released six different versions of “Perfect,” but it was his duet with Beyoncé that shot to the coveted spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song is currently spending its fourth week at No. 1. The pop-infused ballad sends Beyoncé and Sheeran into a harmonious overdrive as the two swoon over how they envision the perfect lover.
Beyoncé is sure to have a busy year ahead, as she was just announced as a headliner for Coachella, along with Eminem and The Weeknd. Sheeran just rocked-out at the Jools Holland’s 25th annual Hootenanny in the UK, and has a cameo in an episode of The Simpsons this weekend.
