He may be new to a few, but you’ll soon get to know musical artist Flume, who brings the flame with his newly enlisted Billboard Hot 100 single “Never Be Like You.” Hailing from Australia, Flume, whose real name is Harley Edward Streten, has made a name for himself on the EDM scene as a producer and DJ. Named after one his favorite Bon Iver songs, Flume has harnessed his love for music since the tender age of 11 years old.

What started with an artist competition, in which a free music production disc was given as a promo item in a popular snack box, turned into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with Australian record label Future Classic. He submitted his original work on Sleepless, Over You, and Paper Thin which led him to winning the contest and a record deal with the label. His first self-titled album, released in Australia in 2012, beat out ever-so-popular boy band One Direction. The modest young man, who still lives with his parents, is on his way to your American heart. You can get know Flume through his first American album release titled Skin. Be sure to get your copy of the limited edition vinyl or digital download of the new album on May 27.
